Collection

Pothos

Epipremnum aureum

Check the soil in 2 days

Try the quick buttons: they log the action once a day, then stay tappable with no side effects. Illustration of the app interface.

Psst… Puff is loose on this page. Tap to say hi, drag to carry, toss onto a card.

Animations are paused: your system asks for reduced motion.

Features

Everything your plants need, nothing they don't

Collection

Cards you flip like an album, in vertical, horizontal or grid view, with original animated motifs for 36 common houseplants and balcony plants.

Check, don't guess

Reminders to check the soil, so you only water when it's needed. A calendar keeps track of watering and feeding.

Ask Puff

An AI assistant grounded in the verified database. You choose what context to share and preview exactly what gets sent.

Light meter

Four modes: light sensor, front-camera field estimate, window estimate with compass, and a calculator.

Identification

Snap a photo and Pl@ntNet suggests the species. The suggestion always stays editable.

Plant Spotting

A diary of the plants you meet outside, with a place name and, only if you want, a one-time GPS position that stays on your phone.

Weather & colour themes

Optional local weather, and colour themes that follow the time of day and the sky outside.

Five graphic styles

Material, Soft, Liquid Glass, Botanic and Neon, each with its own textures, touch effects and sounds.

Home screen widgets

Calendar, a rotating Collection, Puff and a botanical camera, with no network and no private notes.

Puff's holidays

Little hats, greetings and effects for New Year, Valentine's Day, the equinoxes, Earth Day, Christmas and more.

Plant Cemetery :(

Sometimes it goes wrong. Archive a plant with its memories, among slowly floating leaves.

Sounds & haptics

Over 80 synthesized sounds and gentle vibrations matched to every action, all adjustable or off.

Sources, not guesses

Every tip knows where it comes from

PhytoPuff's knowledge base is written from institutional sources, such as university extension services and animal poison control centres. Each piece of information lists its publisher, scope and the date it was checked. When a source doesn't cover a topic, the app says so instead of filling the gap.

Rules on one side, AI on the other

Deterministic rules

Reminders and weather alerts are calculations explained line by line: data, PhytoPuff rule, source.

Clearly labelled AI

AI content always carries the label and the name of the service that produced it, and says how uncertain it is.

AI · may be wrong

Light, measured honestly

Double the distance, a quarter of the light

Move the plant away from the lamp and watch the light drop. That's the inverse-square law, one of the calculations in PhytoPuff's light calculator. The app always shows estimates as ranges and never converts lux to PPFD without a scientific basis.

100%Light compared with 30 cm

Ideal point source. Real lamps and windows behave differently.
